Interests

Although I'm out of it now, when I was in the internet dating scene, you sort of had to list your interests, either through check boxes, your own summary, or both. I always felt like I had an impossibly large number of interests. As I said, I'm out of the internet dating scene just now, but in the shower today I was thinking about this and had an idea to adapt this to a blog entry. I've made a list of my interests--no doubt idiosyncratic and probably not entirely accurate in one way or another--down below here. Its creation was pretty much stream-of-consciousness and thus I probably have forgotten something here or there that I should have included, and likewise some of the stuff that I've included might seem strange in one way or another. Here's what I'd like you to do: copy my list, put it in a comment to this entry, and put into bold the ones that apply to you too. Realize that I'm more interested in some of these things than in others and probably you are too. Just go with what seems reasonable to you. I've put them in alphabetical order to avoid having to worry about any sort of ranking of these things.

a cappella music, alternative music (so-called), American food, art, barbershop singing, baseball, blogging, board games, card games (poker, euchre, hearts, spades, pinochle, Five Hundred), Chinese food, choral music, classic rock, classical music, concerts, cooking, dining out (eating out would also have fit), egalitarian social structures, Ethiopian food, football, gardening, German food, hanging out in bookstores, history, Italian food, Japanese food, Korean food, literary criticism, literature, Mexican food, micro-brew beers, Middle-eastern food, modern rock, movies, music history, music theory, personal finance, philosophy, photography, piano music, poetry, political philosophy, progressive rock, red wine, religion (even if I do come at it from a skeptical POV), roleplaying games, running, science (in its popularized forms), science fiction & fantasy, sculpture, secular humanism, self-sufficiency, sex, soccer, social commentary/criticism, sustainable living, teaching, tennis, Thai food, theater, traveling, Turkish food, working out, writing music, yoga
