Eh. As psychological thrillers go, this film was okay. I suppose it did its job well enough, keeping me interested and in suspense, but it certainly didn't wow me all that much.

I found the film more clever than brilliant, with a decent plot but not that great of writing. It's hard, of course, to separate the two, but I found the dialogue too-often-blah. I felt like there were some holes in the plot that needed to be smoothed over but weren't in the final writing of the script. And despite how hard the actors seemed to have been working, the characters didn't grab me all that much--blame it on poor writing or poor directing, I don't know which.

I didn't feel cheated, though--hence the three stars--particularly since someone else paid for the DVD; I didn't, though, even feel cheated out of my time: there are far worse films I could have watched, and this one was a satisfactory way to spend my time. Once.
