Whoops. Missed another one there. Today marks the end of school for the 2006 calendar year, at least for my school. In honor of
starting winter break, we have a themed Think 'n' Share!
Complete this sentence: "I have started..."
...working on a number of things so that I don't have work hanging over me all break." Still, I'm expecting to spend at least one, and quite possibly two, full days here early in my break just working all day long. Ugh.
Talk about your feelings about winter.
I already
started this a couple days ago but winter is more and more becoming my least favorite season. Still, I can think of some positives: Christmas is a nice enough holiday, having a two-week vacation from work is rather nice, and the college and pro football games are at their most intense during the winter season.
If, like me, you have a winter break, what will you do during this no-doubt-welcome vacation? If you don't, then daydream a little: what would you do with 2 weeks of vacation starting now?
My plans aren't firmed up, but I'm heading to a faculty party at my girlfriend's school this evening and then I'm planning to spend a couple days getting (I hope) all of my work done--better to compartmentalize it rather than worrying all break about how I haven't done it and still need to. We're driving out to Ohio sometime next week (plans not yet finalized), we'll spend Christmas with family and New Year's Eve with friends. With any luck, I will read at least one book for pleasure in this time. Oh, I also have to do all of my Christmas shopping (which really isn't much).
