Ironic, isn't it, that while I was in Maine, with intermittant internet access and in class anywhere from 9 to 10 hours each day, I managed to post an entry for every single day, but when I get back into my routine, I quickly miss two days in a row, including the only regular feature the blog has? Well, so it goes. Judging by the weather this week, spring has sprung--it's been beautiful--and thus I'd like to do a spring-themed Think 'n' Share.

that my birthday is lodged firmly in its maw. The warmer weather is also nice, even if we did have a ridiculously warm winter; we had enough cold days to make the warm days quite welcome.

usually the weather--although it's warmer, the ground's often saturated by the melting snow or the frequent rains. This year, though, it's not too bad.
Please share a spring-time memory.
Here are two vaguely related spring-time memories from elementary school. The first must have been kindergarten or first grade, and just before Easter we had an Easter egg hunt. The class was lined up (elementary school teachers love lines) and marched out to the field where the Easter egg hunt was to take place. Religiously-minded-yet-selfish boy that I was, I said a prayer to God asking Him to please help me find the special egg that would let me win the big chocolate bunny which was the prize. Now, it may be that God chose not to answer my prayer because of its selfish nature, but the actual lesson of this Easter egg hunt was that God doesn't have anything on an older sister whose 6th grade class did the egg hiding--the kid who won, I later heard, was told by her where to find the winning egg.
On the other hand, and I think this was probably closer to 2nd or 3rd grade, is this story from a series of bus rides home in the spring. You see, I lived out in the country, which meant a somewhat longer bus ride. One spring, to better pass the time, our bus driver had a Connect Four tournament on the rides home. Through my vast skills at aligning plastic checkers, I won a chocolate rabbit.
