Okay, I get it that banking is a very strenuous job and bankers can't be expected to work more than six hours in a day, but how about putting those hours at some point in the day when all the rest of us aren't working?
If dogs ran the world, I guarantee we wouldn't have a 40-hour work week--more like four. I guess that's why humans run the world though--those lazy sons (and daughters) of bitches didn't have the wherewithal to take over. Or did they? Maybe that's why we do all the work to pay for their food and shelter and they get to lay around all day until they feel like playing. Lucky dogs.
Some guy once said "I like work; it fascinates me. I can sit and watch it for hours." Probably he ended more than one day beaten senseless.
It's usually a mistake to work too hard or well--someone is bound to give you more to do.
Two of the quotes I live by are "Don't work yourself out of a job" and
"Never volunteer for anything".
I bank at Bank of America. It didn't start out that way but merger after
merger after merger landed me there. They stay open until 6:00 on Friday's
and have Saturday hours. I sure am glad.
There are definitely days that I love my job. Then there are other days...
Fortunately, those are the minority.
